This page explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can control them. It works alongside my [Privacy Policy].

‍ ‍

What are cookies?

‍ ‍

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to make things work and to understand how the site is being used. Some are essential; others are optional, and you get a choice about those.

‍ ‍

The cookies this site uses

‍ ‍

Essential cookies. This website is built on Squarespace, which uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function at all, things like security, loading pages correctly, and remembering your cookie choice itself. These can't be switched off, because the site wouldn't work without them.

‍ ‍

Analytics cookies (optional). Squarespace's built-in analytics use cookies to show me simple, anonymous information about how the site is used, which pages people visit and how they found the site. This helps me understand what's useful. These cookies only run if you accept them via the banner, and declining them changes nothing about your experience of the site.

‍ ‍

Cookies from embedded content (optional). Some pages include video hosted on YouTube. When you play a video, YouTube may set its own cookies, which are governed by Google's privacy policy. If you don't play the video, those cookies generally aren't set.

‍ ‍

I don't use advertising cookies, and I never sell or share information collected by cookies.

‍ ‍

How to control cookies

‍ ‍

The simplest way is the banner you saw when you arrived: accept or decline the optional cookies, and the site remembers your choice. Beyond that, every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its settings, and you can change your mind at any time. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.
